ASHLAND - According to Benton County Circuit Clerk Kathy Graves, Eric Hodges, 38, of Lamar was sentenced on Thursday, March 8 after being found guilty on two counts of manslaughter in Benton County Circuit Court.
A jury found Hodges guilty of the 2014 deaths of David Glass and Derrick Sanders on Thursday, Feb. 22. According to the Benton County Sheriff's Department, both Glass and Sanders were killed by three pit bull dogs owned by Hodges. All three dogs were euthanized.
Judge John Gregory sentenced Hodges to 20 years with five years suspended on both counts. The remaining 15 years will be served concurrently.
