ASHLAND – The Friends of the Benton County Library are sponsoring a way to get residents in the holiday spirit while also obtaining Christmas themed decor. The Friends of the Library will be selling poinsettias.

The poinsettia is a commercially important plant species of the diverse spurge family. The species is indigenous to Mexico. It is particularly well known for its red and green foliage and is widely used in Christmas floral displays.

The poinsettias are available in the colors red, white, marble and cinnamon. A 6-inch pot with four to six blooms is for sale at $10, the 8-inch pot with 2 plants is $18, the 10-inch pot with three plants is $25 and a 12-inch pot with four plants is $33.

To place an order visit the Bond Memorial Library or call them at 224-6400. Buyers are asked to order their poinsettia by noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27 for pick up on Thursday, Dec. 5.
