THRASHER - For the first round of the Class 1A Baseball Playoffs, two sets of Rebels squared off in a best-of-three series. Hickory Flat bested Thrasher to sweep the series 2-0 after a 15-14 win in Game 1 and a 5-3 win in Game 2.

POTTS CAMP - In the first inning of last Thursday's game at Potts Camp, the Hickory Flat Lady Rebels looked primed to pull away for the win and secure the Div. 3-1A title. But the final six innings was controlled by the Lady Cardinals, who went on to win 8-3 and take 3-1A crown.
