The annual All-American Football Camp, sponsored by former Miami Dolphins standout defensive tackle and Okolona native Tim Bowens, is scheduled for June 8 at Bowens/Faulkner Field in Okolona.

The camp is free for all Northeast Mississippi high school and junior high football players. It starts at 8 a.m. and will run “until”, camp officials said. Lunch will be provided.

Bowens, an NFL first-round draft choice in 1994, was named the league’s Rookie of the Year and played in the Pro Bowl in 1998 and 2002.

Special guest coaches will include Bowens, other former NFL /college players and coaches. Instruction and competition will offered for quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, offensive and defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs.

Camp participants who register early – by the May 27 deadline – will receive a camp T-shirt. Players are asked to wear shorts and cleats.
