BENTON COUNTY - The Benton County Library System has begun planning for many exciting activities and events with a Summer Reading Program. The program will begin at the Bond Memorial Library on Thursday, June 14 and on Friday, June 15 at the Hickory Flat Library. This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock!”

The Summer Reading Program is open to all children, preschool through sixth grade. If the child has not completed the first grade, a parent must stay with them. Each child who attends four sessions will get a free summer camp t-shirt.

A few events scheduled for the Bond Memorial Library are “Instruments” on Thursday, June 14, “Science of Music” on Thursday, June 21, “Science of Nature” on Thursday, June 28, “Movie Day” on Thursday, July 5, “Rock Around the World” on Thursday, July 12, “Rocks” on Thursday, July 19 and “Styles and Stars” on Thursday, July 26. Each event is set to begin at 2 p.m.

The Bond Memorial Library will also hold “Movie Day” on Tuesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 7 at 2 p.m.
