Kobe Cooper had several successful carries in Friday night’s game.

PHEBA – The Hebron Christian Eagle took to the field against the Kemper Academy Rams for the first round of the playoffs. While the Eagles seemed to start strong, they were defeated in the the end by a score of 54-18.

The Eagles appeared strong at first, fighting tooth and nail for yardage and capping it off with a touchdown run by Elijah Parrish followed by a successful two point conversion by Kobe Cooper.

However, this was where the momentum seemed to stop.

The Rams answered by driving down the field and successfully completing a two point try to even the score at 8-8.

The next drive for the Eagles started strong, much like the team, with some costly penalties against the Rams giving the Eagles several yards on the drive, however, they were unable to score. This did not stop the Rams though. They put another touchdown on the board, but missed the two point try, making it a single possession game.

Like some of the previous drives, the drive for the Eagles seemed strong, with the exception of a fumble by Quarterback, Braeden Triplett, which Cooper was able to scoop up and turn into positive yardage. They seemed poised to put another score on the board just before halftime when the runner fumbled the ball on the one yard line and the Rams recovered. After one play by the rams, the game went to halftime with a score of 14-8.

The second half was not kind to the Eagles. They would only manage to put 10 more points on the board, whereas the Rams were able to drive the score up by 40, bringing the game to its final of 54-18.
