HOULKA – Frank Henry Hardin, 65, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at his home in Houlka. He was born April 28, 1952 in Bruce, to James Harvey Hardin and Beannice Box Hardin
Hardin was employed at Leggett & Platt as an Engineer Coordinator and a member of Houlka First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Houlka First Baptist Church with Bro. David Blackwell officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Houlka. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Beannice Box Hardin of Houston; his brother, Col. (U.S. Army Ret.) James R. (Linda) Hardin, of Clifton, Va.; one sister, Cathy (Johnny) Moss of Houlka; five nieces and nephews, Kimberly Hardin, Leslie (Alfredo) Molina, Steven (Karlee) Hardin, James Hardin Jr., and Johnathan Moss; and six great- nieces and nephews.
Frank Hardin is preceded in death by his father, James Hardin.
Visitation was 7 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at Houston Funeral Home in Houston and noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Houlka First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were his nieces and nephews and Billy Box and Jimmy Guy McDonald.

VICKSBURG – Donald Dwight Gann, 67, of Vicksburg, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Vicksburg Convalescent Center.
Born in Marks on Dec. 6, 1949 to the late Arza Thomas Gann and Raymond Dwight Gann, Donald was a graduate of Sledge High School and Delta State University. He served as a Sergeant in the Mississippi Army National Guard and was former sales manager for Buddy Jones Ford in Greenwood. He enjoyed playing softball and was an avid golfer.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his loving family including his wife, Annette Harrington Gann of Vicksburg; two sons, Justin Gann (Lauren) of Austin, Texas and Tyler Gann (Lori Beth) from Morgan City; two brothers, Rick Gann and Raymond Gann, Jr. of Sarah; and two granddaughters, Emma Claire and Anna Clinton.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22 at Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. Visitation was held in the funeral home 10 to 11 a.m. Interment followed the service in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Sardis.

OKOLONA – Veronica Merriweather, 60, died Monday April 24, 2017, at Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home in Okolona. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Williams Memorial Funeral Home.
HOULKA – William B. Barrett Jr., 92, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at his residence in Houlka. Services were 11 a.m. Thursday April 6 at Trinity Outreach Center 2353 Hwy. 8 Houston. Visitation was 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc. Burial followed at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 8 Houston.
HOULKA – Jimmy Ray Griffin, 71, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Services were 2 p.m. April 27 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel – Bruce. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Cemetery, Pittsboro.
HOUSTON – Jackie Lynn Alexander, 66, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at NMMC-Hospice in Tupelo. Services were 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29 at Parkway Baptist Church in Houston.
MONTPELIER – William Edward “Bud-Sweet Pea” Thompson, 81, died April 23, 2017, at his home near Montpelier.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, from Palestine United Methodist Church near Montpelier with Rev. Eddie Brock officiating. Burial followed in Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery near Montpelier. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

VARDAMAN – Jessie William Glaspie, 68, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at home in Vardaman. Services were noon Saturday, April 29, at Midway M.B. Church. Visitation was 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Belle Memorial Funeral Chapel Bruce. Burial followed at Midway Cemetery.
