Crossroads Ranch, Itawamba County’s nonprofit community for special needs adults, raised more than $200,000 during its Golden Halo fundraiser in Tupelo, Saturday night. Hosted by Fulton native and second baseman for the World Series Champion Washington Nationals, Brian Dozier, the event drew guests from across Northeast Mississippi and beyond. The semi-formal affair featured food and drink, live music and multiple auctions, plus a chance to meet Dozier. The money raised during the event will be used to complete construction of Crossroads Ranch’s duplexes, in which the community’s residents will live. The ranch is scheduled to officially open late this year.
