Roldan named All American

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association named ICC freshman men’s tennis team member Franco Roldan an All American. Roldan reached the quarterfinals of the NJCAA National Tournament after making it to the finals of the NJCAA Region 23/MACJC Tournament to qualify for Nationals.

Baseball’s Lancaster signs with Missouri

Center fielder Jackson Lancaster signed a National Letter of Intent to play next year for the Missouri Tigers of the Southeastern Conference. Lancaster led the No. 2 Indians in many hitting categories including a .369 average.

Softball’s Cox signs with Bethel University

Utility player Macey Cox signed a National Letter of Intent to play next season for Bethel University. Cox hit .362 with a .477 on-base percentage and a .425 slugging percentage for the Tribe this spring.

Softball snags postseason honors

Olivia Burns, Samantha Conley and Mattie Meine made the MACJC All-State First Team and NJCAA All Region 23 team and are eligble for All American honors. Summer Cryder, Rachel Sternisha and Samantha and Macey Cox have been named to the MACJC All-State Second Team.

Four women’s basketball players sign

Shaniyah Buford, Taneshia Miller and Kaylyn Wilson signed with Delta State University and Zaria Jenkins signed with Stillman College

Boys basketball summer league announced

The first week of ICC’s eighth annual summer league has been announced. Games will be played in the Davis Events Center and ICC Fitness Center gym. Games begin at 11 a.m. in both locations with games being played continuously with the last games beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free and concessions will be available. Mantachie High School will play Alcorn Central in the Fitness Center gym at 1 p.m. and will face Winona in the Davis Center at 3 p.m.
