The Itawamba Lady Indian volleyball team was looking for redemption against Mooreville, following a five set loss on the road earlier this season.

After dropping the first two sets of the match (23-25, 21-25), the Lady Indians brought the fight to Mooreville. Thanks to the hard hitting of Maddie Fleming and the passing of Kaitlyn Cagle, IAHS won the third set 25-14.

The Lady Indians continued that theme in the fourth set winning 25-17. In the fifth set, IAHS dominate 15-7 to win the match.

The Lady Indians had 47 kills on the night led by Maddie Fleming with 24 and Chloe McClain with 9. Summer Morgan had 9 of the 18 blocks at the net. Kaitlyn Cagle (14) and Kylee King (9) led the team in assists.

On Thursday, the Lady Indians hosted the Hamilton Lady Lions. They continued the theme of five set matches beating Hamilton (20-25, 28-26, 25-21, 18-25, 15-9). The wins improve their overall record to 13-7 on the season.
