NEW ALBANY – The Union County Heritage Museum will host Pioneer Heritage Days this week, presenting the tools, playthings, comforts and entertainments from the area’s settlement era to the 1930s.

Among the expected exhibits will be an early 1900s clinic, wood-cutting and corn-shelling demonstrations, laundry, folk music, a Civil War “suttler” (peddler) and a blacksmith shop.

The exhibits and live demonstrations on Thursday and Friday will be aimed at schoolchildren, and Saturday will be open to the general public. Hours on Saturday will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
