TUPELO • Pardon the dust and dirt outside BancorpSouth Arena if you attend an upcoming event there. The venue and adjoining conference center are undergoing a major renovation and expansion project.

The construction, however, isn’t stopping the shows from going on. BancorpSouth Arena has a busy entertainment schedule lined up in the coming months.

On tap are concerts by country music stars Gary Allan, Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean, as well as the Contemporary Christian artists on the annual WinterJam tour.

The Harlem Globetrotters will take the court in January and the MonsterJam trucks will zoom over the dirt floor in mid-March.

The rest of the time, there will be ice in the arena for local skaters and a Disney on Ice production in December.

Gary Allan

Gary Allan returns Saturday for his first appearance in Tupelo since 2005 when he opened for Brooks and Dunn.

Throughout his illustrious career, Allan has had five No. 1 hits at country radio (including 14 Top 10 hits), sold more than eight million albums and amassed over 1.4 billion total streams. He has been certified platinum on three back-to-back albums, and been certified gold five times. His last album was No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Singer/songwriter Ross Ellis, who co-wrote “Neon Church” for Tim McGraw, is the opening act. Show time is 7 p.m. Tickets range from Tickets $38.75 to $78.75.

Ice Skating

Public ice skating will be open at the arena for the following dates: Nov. 23-27, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, Dec. 14-15, Dec. 21-23, Dec. 26-31, Jan. 2-6 and Jan. 18-20.

Skating hours are 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the exception of the following dates: Nov. 24, Dec. 1, Dec. 15, Dec. 22, Dec. 29, Jan. 5 and Jan. 6. The hours for those seven dates are 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Ice rink admission is $12 per person, which includes skate rental. Season skate passes are $100 for 10 sessions.

Disney On Ice

Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the Disney gang will present this year’s Disney On Ice production, “Celebrate Memories,” on Dec. 5-8. Two performances are scheduled each day except for Dec. 8.

Performing times are as follows: Dec. 5, 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Dec. 7, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; and Dec. 8, 2 p.m.

Tickets range from $15 to $60.

Harlem Globetrotters

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters bring their “Pushing the Limits” tour to the arena Monday, Jan. 13.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame team known for its hijinks and skills is entering its 94th season of entertaining fans. The Globetrotters will attempt a live world record attempt at each game on the tour.

Game time is 7 p.m. Tickets range from $27 to $77.

Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert and her Wildcard tour, promoting her current album of the same name, will be in Tupelo on Thursday, Jan. 16.

Rolling Stone calls “Wildcard,” Lambert’s seventh solo album, a country-rock masterpiece. “The Nashville queen cranks up the guitars, talks love and politics and keeps the drinks coming on a fantastic LP,” the magazine stated.

{div class=”subscriber-only”}Lambert has been honored by the Grammy Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. In April 2018, Lambert won the ACM Award for Female Vocalist of the Year for the ninth consecutive year.{/div}

Special guests will be Cody Johnson and LANCO. Tickets range in price from $53.75 to $93.75.


Crowder, who last week opened for MercyMe in Tupelo, returns to the arena Sunday, Jan. 26 as the headliner of the 2020 WinterJam tour. NewSong, Andy Mineo, Hillsong Young & Free, Building 429, Red, Austin French and Riley Clemmons round out the artist lineup while Zane Black and Billy Ballenger will be guest speakers.

Show time is 6 p.m. and admission is $15 at the door. JamNation packages, which include early entrance and preferred seating, are available through 2020.jamtour.com/jam-nation.

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean returns with his “We Back Tour” on Saturday, March 7. Aldean is a three-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year winner (2016-18).

Aldean’s newest album, “9,” is scheduled for release Nov. 22. The album’s first single, “We Back,” was released to country radio Sept. 9.

Show time is 7:30 p.m. Opening acts are Morgan Wallen, Riley Green and Dee Jay Silver. General admission pit tickets are $79.75; reserved seating tickets range from $40.75 to $79.75.


The roaring engines of MonsterJam trucks invade the coliseum March 13-14.

The Friday, March 13, event starts at 7 p.m. The Saturday, March 14 competitions start at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The Saturday Pit Party will be from 10:30 a.m. until noon. You must have a 1 p.m. event ticket for the pit party.

Prices range from $15 to $40. Pit Party tickets are $15.
