Pitt, Jolie grab motorbike,

tour Ho Chi Minh City

n HANOI, Vietnam Instead of stuffing themselves with turkey, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent Thanksgiving cruising around Ho Chi Minh City on a motorbike.

Pitt was spotted driving the motorbike through the city center with Jolie perched on the seat behind him Thursday in a country where just about everyone travels on the two-wheeled machines. The couple later dined at a Vietnamese restaurant converted from an old temple.

Pitt and Jolie arrived unannounced in Vietnam after an earlier surprise visit this week to Cambodia, where on Wednesday they toured a former Khmer Rouge death camp, which is now a genocide museum.

The 31-year-old actress, who has an adopted son from Cambodia, also met with officials to discuss a forest conservation project in the country's northwest near Pailin, a former Khmer Rouge stronghold. She has pledged up to $1.3 million over five years for the program.

Jolie's Cambodian son, Maddox, is 5 years old. She and Pitt also have a 1-year-old daughter, Zahara, who was adopted from Ethiopia. Jolie gave birth to the couple's daughter, Shiloh, in Namibia in May.

Anna Nicole's companion

says court saves utilities

n NASSAU, Bahamas Anna Nicole Smith's companion said Thursday that he has a court order blocking efforts by her ex-boyfriend to cut power and water to the home where the former Playboy Playmate has been staying in the Bahamas.

Smith's former boyfriend G. Ben Thompson, a South Carolina businessman, is seeking to remove her from the waterfront home in Nassau where she has taken refuge since her son's death on Sept. 10.

Thompson, who said he owns the home and that Smith has not honored an agreement to pay the mortgage, had the power temporarily cut off in mid-November.

"Anna Nicole owns the house, and we have the sales agreement and conveyance to prove it," her companion, Howard K. Stern, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. He said they have a court order preventing Thompson from coming on the property or turn off the power or water.

The order was granted by the country's Supreme Court, similar to U.S. federal court, on Tuesday, said her attorney, Wayne Munroe.

"Mr. Thompson has refused to allow services to be connected to his home due to liability reasons," Ford Shelley, Thompson's son-in-law, said in a statement.

"We extended a helping hand to a friend in need and look what happens."

Both parties have filed lawsuits for the Supreme Court to declare who owns the house.

Smith, who gave birth to a daughter in the Bahamas three days before her 20-year-old son, Daniel, died in the hospital while visiting her, used the house in Nassau as the basis for her application for permanent residency.

There was little public fanfare about her stay in the Bahamas until her son's death. She has since dominated local media and politics in the archipelago southeast of Florida.
