Nettleton's Lauren Hall hit an RBI triple in the Lady Tigers' Game 2 loss to Mooreville last Tuesday night.

The Nettleton Lady Tigers were eliminated from the Class 3A playoffs for the third year in a row by their rival Mooreville last Tuesday night.

In Game 2, the Lady Tigers had an early 3-1 lead before Mooreville clawed its way back in and took the win with two runs in the sixth.

Nettleton took a 1-0 lead on an RBI double by Danielle McCord in the top of the first. The Lady Troopers tied the game in the bottom half.

Lauren Hall had an RBI triple to put Nettleton on top before a late Mooreville comeback. McCord and Jayla Patterson had multiple hits, as Jolie Parker also had a double in the loss.

Hallie Donald was the winning pitcher in both games of the series for Mooreville. She began the game a little shaky giving up a run in the first inning and two more in the third but settled in for the rest of the game. The senior only gave up one more hit after the third inning.

“Hallie toed it up again,” Nettleton head coach Jacob Kidd said. “We got after her early, but we quit executing and went into a lull and she got stronger and stronger.”

The Lady Tigers lost Game 1 at home last Monday. Kylie Leach hit a double and a single in the loss as Mycah Hall also had two hits.
