ABERDEEN – Aberdeen Main Street asks all merchants to join in a Scarecrow Trail Oct. 10-Nov. 16 by creating a real type scarecrow representative of each business. Main Street encourages merchants to use creativity opposed to relying on store bought-type scarecrows.
The scarecrows will be judged and winners will be announced. The scarecrows are planned to be left in place until Nov. 16 to celebrate harvest season. After that date, outdoor Christmas decorations will be placed.
"I realize that merchants need to display Christmas decorations inside for open house Nov. 3. Hopefully you will join us with a Happy Fall celebration," said Aberdeen Main Street director Ann Tackett.
