AMORY – On July 6, the Amory Police Department served a search warrant at 1088 MLK Dr. At the same time, North Mississippi Narcotics and the APD did a welfare check of a condemned residence adjacent to the property on K Avenue.

More than 3 ounces of methamphetamine, approximately half a pound of marijuana, seven weapons, including a stolen gun, and various narcotic pills were seized.

Brac D Wright, 35, of Aberdeen was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of a weapon by a felon. Garrick L Miller, 48, of Amory was also arrested in the case and charged with possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) and possession of a weapon by a felon.

The APD is actively looking for the resident of 1088 MLK Dr., Arsenio West, on the following arrest warrants: trafficking a controlled substance (meth) enhanced by firearm enhanced within 1,500 feet of a church; possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to sell enhanced by a firearm enhanced within 1,500 ft of a church; possession of controlled substance; possession of a stolen firearm; and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

In separate arrests, Donald E Stacy, 46, of Amory was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of Schedule IV and Schedule II substances. His bond was set at $10,000.00 by Monroe County Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes. Stacy is out on bond.

Kevin L Kilgo, 28, of Houston was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth).
