Responders lift the victim of a roofing accident last week at Victory Temple into a North Mississippi Medical Center Care Flight helicopter.

AMORY – A man working on the top of the roof of Victory Temple Outreach Ministries was airlifted for medical care June 4 after falling through to the second floor.

According to Amory Police Chief Ronnie Bowen, the call came in at 7:38 a.m., and the call for a landing zone came in five minutes later. North Mississippi Medical Center’s Care Flight took off with the man, whose name was not released, at 8:39 a.m.

The victim works for JCS Roofing Service. Bowen was unsure exactly what caused the accident.

The Amory police and fire departments and MedStat responded to the scene.
