AMORY – Trent Harmon will not be the only Amorian with a presence on primetime television Wednesday. A character based on Pat Brannon will be featured on 'Criminal Minds' on CBS.

Brannon met Hollywood screenwriter Jim Clemente, who is a writer for the show, last May when he was invited to speak to the Amory Rotary Club as a guest of Merle Temple.

"As a joke, I asked him what I'd have to do to be a part of an episode," Brannon said. "He told me I'd have to kill somebody or be killed, and we went from there."

While she doesn't know much about the character, Patricia, Clemente told Brannon in a message that it's very dangerous getting a 'Criminal Minds' shoutout, and that most of the characters end up on the wrong side of a serial killer's work.

Clemente described the character as a friendly and generous person.

Brannon has been keeping the news a secret for three months, but was able to share it last week. Her episode of 'Criminal Minds,' entitled 'A Badge and a Gun,' airs at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 on CBS.
