Several former Itawamba Community College band members and Indianettes will be on the Fulton Campus, Oct. 3, for the first-ever reunion of the All-American Band as part of the school's homecoming activities.
Celebrating 65 years of music is the theme for the reunion, which will include a pre-game tailgate, family activities and a pep rally with the current All-American Band from noon-2 p.m. on the Davis Event Center lawn during the Homecoming event.
“The band has evolved over the past 65 years,” said current director Brian Gillentine of Amory. “No matter the changes from year-to-year, the constant is always the memories and teamwork to produce a first-class production. The All-American Band, a family in itself, is looking forward to uniting former and present band members during this reunion, including instrumentalists, guard, Indianettes and managers.”
Band participants over the years are also key members of ICC’s Alumni Association, which is sponsoring the reunion event.
