AMORY – Ten-year-old Rachael Wilkerson is spending her spring break fiddling for cancer. She was set up in front of Bill’s Hamburgers on Monday, and will also be there on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

“Both of my grandfathers died with cancer before I could meet them,” said Wilkerson. “When I heard about an 11-year-old girl whose mother had cancer, I wanted to help. The girl has started a fundraising campaign in honor of her mother to show her support and love through the cancer battle, and I am doing what I can to help her.”

She also uses her music on a weekly basis playing in her local church and is always eager to play for a good cause, such as cancer awareness.

Wilkerson is the daughter of Janice and Reid Wilkerson. She currently resides in Nashville, where Reid is attending Free Will Baptist Bible College.
