New Albany 73 Saltillo 51 (boys)
The Bulldogs have now won four in a row, as they won on the road versus the Tigers, 73-51.
New Albany scored the most in the even numbered quarters, as they posted 22 in the second and 23 in the fourth frame to pull away for their eighth win of the year.
Kareem Brown and Adrian Gamble stepped up for the Bulldogs, as each had 14 on the night, followed by Brandon White with 12 and Cameo Mabry with 11.
For the Tigers, Trevor Boren scored 15, followed by Tregon Staples with 12.
New Albany is now 8-6 on the year, 1-1 in division play. The Bulldogs will play host to the Myrtle Hawks on Friday night, in a big in-county matchup. New Albany played Myrtle close in their first meeting, losing 74-68 on November 14.
Coldwater 84 West Union 31
Coldwater found an answer to containing the hot shooting of Wesley Jumper, as the Eagles fell 84-31.
Jumper was held to only 14 points on the night, as West Union was unable to get their offense going.
Coldwater jumped out to a 23-5 advantage in the first quarter, and the Eagles were only able to score eight more in the second, as they trailed 43-13 at the half.
The Eagles broke double digits in the third, but it was not enough to mount a comeback.
Dominick Major led Coldwater with 23, while Jeremy Scott added 10.
West Union falls to 3-14 on the year, 0-2 in division play. The Eagles will be on the road Friday night as they will travel to Tremont.
Ingomar 104 Tremont 42
Zach Parnell scored 21 to lead the Falcons to a 104-42 blowout of Tremont Tuesday night.
Ingomar opened the game with a 23-4 lead after the first quarter. The Falcons extended their lead to 44-13 at the half, then posted another 60 points in the second half.
Matt Purvis and Steven Foster each scored 14 for the Falcons, followed by Tom McCay and Tanner McCollum, each with 12.
For Tremont, Zach Bell was their leading scorer with 12.
Ingomar will be in action this Saturday as they host Okolona.
H.W. Byers 81 East Union 50
The Urchins fell in a divisional match-up Tuesday night, 81-50 versus H.W. Byers.
The showdown was knotted at 14 after the first quarter before Byers posted 26 in the second to the Urchins nine to take the 40-23 lead to the half.
Byers again outscored the Urchins 20-13 in the third to pull away for the win.
C.J. Armstrong led the Urchins with 16, followed by Gareth Pannell with 11.
For Byers, DeMarrius Scott scored 12, followed by Andre Jones with 16, Fred Jones with 17 and T.W. Bryson with 20. Bryson also had five assists, six steals and five rebounds, while Fred Jones had 13 rebounds.
East Union falls to 8-10, 1-1 in division play, and will travel to Mantachie next Tuesday night.
