The Lady Eagles are one win away from earning the number one divisional seed for the playoffs after holding on for a 2-1 win over Ingomar on Monday.
West Union defeated the Lady Falcons, 20-0, earlier this month, but had a tough time at the plate, connecting for only five hits, two from Brittany Taylor in the nine spot.
Hannah McQuary drove in the game’s first run, followed by a sacrifice play by Gracen Conlee, making it 2-0.
Ingomar scored their lone run in the fourth and left four runners on base in scoring position throughout the game. Danielle Taylor struck out 12 batters with no Ingomar player recording multiple hits.
West Union will close out the regular season on Tuesday night, traveling to Potts Camp.
