Felon Allegedly Had Firearm

A Myrtle man was arrested Monday for allegedly possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, according to Sheriff Jimmy Edwards.

The suspect, Richard Moody, 59, of County Road 12, was also charged with possession of precursors with “intent to manufacture meth,” said Edwards.

Moody was arrested in New Albany by the Union County Sheriff's Office.

His bond was set at $20,000, and he has bonded out.
