Patricia Hendrix, 77
Patricia Ann Hale Hendrix, 77, of New Albany, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Community Hospice House in Verona. She was born March 24, 1932 in New Albany to the late Lester J. and Leona Clark Hale. She retired from New Albany Small Animal Clinic and was a member of First Baptist Church of New Albany. She was the widow of J. C. Hendrix.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at United Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ricky Blythe officiating. Interment will be in Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri Houston (Amos) of Pontotoc, MS; two sons, Jimmy Hendrix (Janet) of Nesbit, MS and Dan Hendrix of Montgomery, AL; one sister, Peggy Carter of New Albany, MS; seven grandchildren: Jason Hendrix, Sue Lynn Hendrix, Jay Houston, Meagan Hendrix, Tyler Hendrix, Adam Hendrix and Averi Hendrix and a niece, Susie Moorehead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons, Richard and Don Hendrix.
Visitation was Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth Nolley, 69
Ruth Frazier Nolley, 69, of Myrtle, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1940 in Union County to the late Augustus and Mary Jane Riley Frazier. She was a homemaker and the widow of James Virgil Nolley, Sr. She was a member of Poolville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at United Funeral Service with Rev. Larry Harrison, Rev. Phillip Caples and Rev. Tony Monk officiating. Interment was in Union Hill Cemetery in Myrtle.
Survivors include two daughters, Hazel Carroll (Danny) of Poolville and Joann Caples (Phillip) of Picayune; three sons, James Nolley, Jr., Johnny Nolley (Karen) and George Nolley, all of Poolville; one sister, Ann Medlin of New Albany; three brothers, Richard Frazier of Bethlehem in Potts Camp, Clyde Frazier of Enterprise and Joe Frazier of Hickory Flat; six grandchildren, Chris Caples (Megan), Justin Caples, Jamie Carroll, Jeannie Carroll, Amber Henderson and Kagan Nolley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a half-sister, one brother and five half-brothers.
Pallbearers were Chris Caples, Justin Caples, Jason Frazier, Hubert Hale, Jody Porter, and Billy Jack Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Ray Nolley and Jack Rogers.
Floyd L. McKinzie, 74, of New Albany, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Rowland Jarvis, 75
Rowland Jarvis, 75, of Southaven, self-employed home builder, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 at his home. Mr. Jarvis was born September 8, 1934 in New Albany, to the late Andrew Jackson and Ruth Jarvis and was a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven.
Services were at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Interment was in Memory Hill Gardens in Bartlett, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mattie Jarvis; two sons, Rowland Jarvis, Jr. and Mark Jarvis, all of Southaven; one sister, Sybil Bailey of New Albany; and one special brother-in-law, James Farris.
Visitation was Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
The family requests that any memorials be made to the Carriage Hills Baptist Church Benevolent Fund.
Irene Carroll, 80
Irene Carroll, 80, of New Albany, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. She was born May 27, 1929, to William and Clara Belle Bolen Page. She was a lifetime resident of Union County, a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her children, grandchildren, her flowers, and cats and dogs. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and to the interchange and going to yard sales.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at Glenfield Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany. Interment will be in Ingomar Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Buddy Carroll (Barbara) of Myrtle, Dean Carroll (Leola) of Ecru and Bruce Carroll (Barbara) of Cherry Creek; one daughter, Betty Prather (Bud) of New Albany; one brother, Presley Page of New Albany; 26 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Earnest Carroll; two sons, David Carroll and William Andrew Carroll; one daughter, Louise Robbins; four brothers, Lonnie Page, Leroy Page and Gordan Page; and three sisters, Pauline White, Modine McCain and Millie Holmes.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Carroll, Matt Taylor, Austin Taylor, Brian Carroll, Lee Carroll and Andy Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Yeager, Tyler Carwyle and Kaleb Carroll.
Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
