Renasant Bank gets in the holiday spirit with giving tree for cancer survivors

In honor of the season of giving and sharing, Renasant Bank put up a “Giving Tree” in the bank’s lobby to represent cancer survivors and cancer victims.

Customers can purchase the purple ribbons for $10 and write a person’s name to go with the ribbon. The ribbons are in memory of or in honor of someone that has been or is affected with cancer.

Renasant Bank Personal Banker Emily Mayo said, “Our bank alone has been affected by cancer and we wanted to do something that would honor those affected by cancer. Also, we wanted to do a fundraiser that could help Relay for Life.”

The proceeds from the ribbons will go towards Union County Relay for Life and will be displayed at the Renasant Bank Relay for Life Lady Challenge basketball tournament on Jan. 29, in the Ingomar Attendance Center gym.

Ribbons can be purchased until Jan. 20 at the branch at 300 East Bankhead Street or the branch at 701 Coulter Drive.

The phone number for the Bankhead branch office is 534-6375 and the number for the Coulter Drive branch is 534-2310.
