Four players from Union County made the Daily Journal All-Area team for 2019-20. Zach Shugars from Ingomar was named to the first team. Mitchell Shettles of New Albany, Annie Orman of West Union and Kinsley Gordon of Myrtle were named to the third team.

Jatyjia Jones, former Ingomar player, helped lead Jones Community College to a 94-60 win over Northwest in the Region 23 Championship game at Clinton. 

CLINTON – After a solid run in last week's NJCAA Region 23 Tournament, Northwest sophomore guard Lindsay Hall and sophomore forward Mallory Russell were chosen as the Rangers' selections for the all-tournament team.

JACKSON -  Ingomar trailed for the majority of the game against Shaw on Monday, but the Falcons took the lead when it counted the most as they won 64-56 in the 1A semifinals.

Five Gazette area schools advanced to the second round of MHSAA basketball playoffs on Friday and Saturday. Ingomar girls traveled to Myrtle and defeated the Lady Hawks 65-49 on Friday night in 1A.

WHEELER- Ingomar won their third consecutive boys division title on Friday with their 58-36 triumph over Baldwyn. Ingomar's two division titles in the previous years came while the Falcons were members of class 2A.

NEW ALBANY - The New Albany Bulldogs celebrated Senior Night with a statement win against Ingomar, 69-58. This would be the last opportunity that the Bulldogs would have to secure a win over the Falcons and they made the most of it.
