AMORY - No foul play was involved in the Tuesday death of an Amory woman, authorities said Thursday.

Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley said an autopsy completed late Wednesday night showed Nellie Ray Sanders Hall, 54, who was found dead in her residence in a West Amory public housing complex, died as a result of natural causes.

Amory police and State Highway Patrol criminal investigators initially investigated the death along with Gurley because it was not immediately evident if Hall died as a result of natural causes, foul play or suicide when her body was discovered Tuesday afternoon.
