BALDWYN - A 2-year-old Baldwyn girl died Friday afternoon after she fell out of a car.

Sanchrisha Crump, 2, died as a result of trauma injuries at North Mississippi Medical Center following the 2:16 p.m. accident, said Lee County Coroner Roy Barnett.

The toddler apparently had been left unattended in a parked car at the Charter Hills Apartments off of Fifth Street in Baldwyn, Baldwyn police officials said.

The toddler accidentally put the car into gear and then fell out of the car's open door when the car rolled over a bump, according to the police report.

The child was not hit by the vehicle, and the death has been ruled accidental, police said.
