IUKA - An Alcorn County man is facing felony charges after rolling up to a safety checkpoint with illegal drugs.
Jared Weber approached a safety checkpoint on County Road 944 in Burnsville Wednesday. Tishomingo County deputies discovered Weber had an outstanding warrant from Burnsville and arrested him. During a search of his person, officers found methamphetamine on him.
Weber, 29, of 2206 Proper St., Corinth, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and the misdemeanor failure to appear warrant from Burnsville. He remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
