OXFORD – An ongoing narcotics investigation culminated Monday with the seizure of more than 1,100 Xanax pills, nearly $4,000 in cash and a Nissan SUV.

According to Oxford Police Maj. Jeff McCutchen, the Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit seized 1,114 dosage units of Xanax, 2 grams of marijuana, 5 grams of synthetic marijuana, $3,744 in cash, two iPhones, one Apple Macbook Pro and a 2010 Nissan Xterra.

Officers also arrested Jeffrey Lawson Factor, 20, of Nashville, Tennessee; Colin Michael Bishop, 20, of Nashville, Tennessee; Madison White, 20, of Clinton; and Shelbie Yates, 21, of Clinton. They were all charged with possession of Xanax with intent to distribute. Factor is a former student at the University of Mississippi. The other three are current students.

Bond for Factor and Bishop was set at $75,000. White and Yates are being held with $10,000 bonds each.
