The following reports were filed Tuesday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office and the Tupelo Police Department.
Lee County Sheriff's Office
A County Road 154 Shannon woman said her boyfriend's 19-year-old son took her car without permission Monday night around midnight. She said he lives there and took the key from her bedroom. He returned the 2010 Chrysler 300 at 6:15 a.m., before deputies arrived.
A Mountain Leader Trail woman said her 38-year-old son is not allowed on her property. He showed up and started yelling at her. Deputies arrived and told the suspect to stop yelling. When he refused to comply, he was arrested and charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
A Highway 371 Mooreville man said a male subject was in his driveway for the exchange of a child. He said the subject started filming the exchange with his cell phone and he wanted to charge the subject with harassment. The officer told him no crime was committed and it was not illegal to record with a cell phone.
A County Road 598 Nettleton man returned home to find his front door open and the doorknob locked. The weather stripping around the door seemed to be damaged. Nothing appeared to be missing.
A County Road 901 Shannon woman said while she was sleeping, her 34-year-old grandson stole her prescription pain medication. She said she got a new bottle of 180 pills on June 1. Now there are only 10 left.
A County Road 2254 Saltillo man said he and his sister got into an argument over the ownership of a car. She broke the antenna off the car and left before deputies arrived.
A County Road 1310 Mooreville woman said a white male showed up at her house at 10 p.m., claiming he had run out of gas. When she offered to call 911 for him, he ran off.
Tupelo Police Department
A Central Avenue woman said that after leaving a car wash, she noticed a black scratch on the passenger door of her vehicle. She was not aware of when it happened.
A woman said she left her car at a repair shop to have the air conditioner fixed. When she returned to pick it up, the driver's door of the 2006 Ford Mustang was damaged. The manager said he did not know who damaged the car.
A West Main Walmart employee said a black female attempted to steal a belt and a pair of swim trunks. She was detained for police and charged with shoplifting.
A North Highland Drive woman said overnight, someone threw raw eggs at her car and house. She was unsure of who might be responsible.
A Girly Girl employee said a 54-year-old white woman concealed four shirts worth $66.45 in her purse and tried to leave without paying. She was detained for police and charged with shoplifting. While inventorying the stolen items, officers discovered there were also five pairs of boxers stolen from American Eagle.
A McCullough Boulevard apartment manager said a tenant whose lease expired was given until May 31 to move out. She said several people are living in the apartment who are not on the lease. She has emailed the tenant and tried to call him but gotten no response. When the officer knocked on the door, no one answered.
