Felony Arrests

The following people were arrested on felony charges during a 24-hour period ending at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail

- Billy Edward, 22, of Moore Avenue, Tupelo, is charged by the Tupelo police with sale of crack cocaine. Bond has not been set.

Verona City Jail

- Courdney M. Pinson, 19, 109 Hayes Drive, Verona, is charged with burglary. Bond has not been set.

The following reports were filed Monday with the Tupelo Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff's Department.

- Property damage on East Main Street.

- Grand larceny on Parish Drive.

- The theft of handbags and money on President Avenue.

- Shoplifting of clothes on Barnes Crossing Road.

- Malicious mischief on Front Street.

- A bad check on Barnes Crossing Road.

- Malicious mischief on Barnes Crossing Road.

- Disorderly conduct on Fillmore Drive.

- Grand larceny on West Main Street.

- A recovered vehicle on West Main Street.

- The theft of jewelry on Canterbury Place.

- Malicious mischief on Hilda Avenue.

- Property damage on West Main Street.

- Simple assault on South Gloster Street.

- Malicious mischief on Mattox Street.

Lee Sheriff's

- No reports.

The White Oak Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Church Street in Byhalia.

Byhalia Lions Club members are selling chances for $20 in groceries donated by Star Foods in Byhalia. The drawing will be held at the festival. You do not have to be present to win.

There will be a fund-raiser for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in New Albany. Musical entertainment will be by Blacksmith, Jeff "Elvis" Garrett and Mitchell Lankin. There also will be a balloon release and food.
