GOLF BALL SIZE ROCK OF CRACK COCAINE SEIZED
AMORY - Monroe County sheriff's deputies and North Mississippi Narcotics agents seized a golf ball-sized rock of crack cocaine as they served a warrant earlier this week.
Monroe County Sheriff Ruble Maxey said the officers found the crack cocaine Tuesday as they were serving a warrant for grand larceny on Joe Robinson, 23, at his Phillips Schoolhouse Road residence in Amory.
In addition to grand larceny, Robinson was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $15,000.
The 16-gram portion of crack cocaine would normally be chipped into small pieces for sale and could have brought about $2,500 on area streets, Ruble said.
