HED:Convicted felon found selling guns from Tupelo motel
Tupelo police nabbed a convicted felon who apparently was selling guns from a local motel room.
Officers uncovered three rifles and two handguns in a Sunday morning search of a west Tupelo motel room, said Tupelo Police Detective Allan Gilbert.
Charles Jennings, 47, who listed his address as the motel room, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Jennings had prior convictions for drug possession and robbery in Georgia and California.
One of the guns was listed by the Memphis Police Department as being stolen, Gilbert said. Checks on the other four handguns are pending. Any theft charges in connection with the guns would be filed by the reporting jurisdictions.
