HOLLY SPRINGS - The State Highway Patrol on Wednesday confirmed a second Alabama resident died in a Friday night crash north of Holly Springs.

Beatrice Johnson, 71, of Tuscumbia, Ala., died at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis from injuries she sustained in the three-car collision Friday night on state Highway 7, one mile north of Holly Springs, said Sgt. Scott Swanson, Batesville highway patrol district public information officer.

Earlier this week, Marshall County Coroner Chuck Thomas confirmed James Earl Pryor, 52, of Sheffield, Ala., died at the scene of the 9:15 p.m. accident.

Swanson said one Alabama resident and three Holly Springs residents also were injured in the three-car collision.

No further information was available about how the crash occurred. The accident is still under investigation by the State Highway Patrol.
