Both construction and tickets for the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home are going fast. Nearly 6,000 of the 9,500 tickets have been sold. The house in the Spring Lake subdivision will be ready for tours in early August.

TUPELO • In two and a half weeks, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital supporters have snapped up more than half of the chances to win the 2019 Dream Home.

Since $100 tickets officially went on sale June 6, 5,910 of the 9,500 tickets have been sold, said Colby Maxwell of ALSAC St. Jude.

The three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home is currently being built by Legacy Construction in the Spring Lake subdivision in West Tupelo. The 3,400 square-foot home has an estimated value of $475,000.

Last year, the 8,000 tickets available for the Tupelo dream home sold out within a month, and raised $850,000 to care for children with cancer and their families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

Tickets purchased by Friday are entered to win the early bird prize, white gold Cooper hoops created in-house by Van Atkins Jewelers, valued at $10,000. Tickets are available through dreamhome.org or by calling (800) 456-8351.

Open house tours are slated to be offered Saturdays and Sundays from Aug. 3 to Aug. 25. The winner will be announced on Aug. 29.

On July 19, a golf scramble tournament will be hosted at Big Oaks Golf Course in Saltillo with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. to raise funds to defray construction costs for the dream home. Registration for each four-golfer team is $800 and includes lunch. For more information, call (662) 680-1367 or (662) 255-0412 or email tupelodreamhome18@gmail.com.
