FARMINGTON – Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell has released the names of the victims and suspect in a Monday triple shooting in Farmington that left two dead and one injured.
Jason Lovell, 39, of Corinth, and Christopher Smith, 24, of Iuka, were both killed in the shooting. Paula Russell, 33, was also shot and is in stable condition, Caldwell said.
Alize J. Boyd, 22, of Corinth, was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder after he turned himself in to the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office at around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Caldwell said.
Boyd is being held in the Alcorn County Jail, and bond has not been set.
The investigation is ongoing.
The sheriff’s office and the Farmington Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the Farmington School Apartments, 4160 County Road 200, at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, the sheriff said.
