Northeast Mississippi's strong business climate didn't happen by accident. It was planned, crafted and implemented by smart-working people in the business sector.
Union Planters National Bank for the third consecutive year has named a "Top 40 Under 40" group of businesspeople statewide young women and men who are making distinctive, positive marks in their communities and beyond.
Five of this year's honorees are resident Northeast Mississippians: Free-lance journalist Karen Holliday of Tupelo, Chickasaw County Development Foundation Executive director Susan Griffin of Houston, Kerr-McGee Corp. executive John Hatmaker of Hamilton and Columbus, B&B Concrete President David Brevard of Tupelo, and Hunter Consulting CEO Kevin Hunter of Tupelo.
Their careers represent the kind of diversity fostered by a free market economy and energy that makes vision become reality. Congratulations to all the Northeast Mississippians honored.
