WEST POINT - Police are looking for the person responsible for robbing a West Point store Sunday evening.

Around 9:45 p.m. June 23, the West Point Police Department responded to the Dollar General on Highway 50 East. Witnesses reported a disguised man approached the store from the east and entered the store brandishing a gun.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black Adidas pants, black shoes, and a red mask covering the face. He displayed a firearm, but the employees and customers were able to flee to safety. The suspect fled the scene running east from the store.

Police did not release any details about what was stolen from the store.
