TUPELO - Police are looking for a man who led authorities on a chase Tuesday night, then ran off into the woods.
Around 10 p.m. June 11, Tupelo police made a traffic stop downtown near the intersection of West Main and Broadway street. Brian Austin Robison, 26, was driving a black Mitsubishi GT SUV. Robison initially stopped, but as officers were speaking with him, he sped away.
Robison led police on a chase through downtown and then west toward the Tupelo Regional Airport. Robison drove the vehicle into a wooded area north of the airport and fled on foot.
Police detained passenger Shyan Carey, 23, at the scene. She was charged with disorderly conduct. By Wednesday morning, she had bonded out of the Lee County Jail.
Police conducted an extensive search of the area Tuesday night but were unable to locate Robison. He is wanted for felony fleeing or eluding law enforcement as well as traffic offenses. Robison is a white male, approximately 5’ 9” tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has brown hair.
