PROGRAM TEACHES WORKERS UPHOLSTERING

NEW ALBANY -The Northeast Extension Center is offering free upholstery training to dislocated workers. Students learn to build upholstered furniture and to reupholster used furniture as part of the program. Required materials are supplied at no cost to students.

Students can continue to draw unemployment while participating in the training. They are also eligible for a $50 weekly travel allowance. Pell Grants are available to eligible students.

Upon completion of the training, students will be referred for employment.
