Friends of the Sissons will be interested in learning that Wednesday they were called to the Amory emergency room where her son, Charles A., had been taken after being injured in a work-related accident. In talking to Dr. Sisson the following morning, the only damage diagnosed so far is a compression-fractured vertebrae. I learned he is now out of the hospital, but with very restricted activity. Get well wishes to him.
I want to congratulate some ladies from the community that have gotten together to make quilt sfor themselves. Although they declined to be named, I want to say that I think this is wonderful, as hand quilting is almost a lost art and their quilts will become heirlooms to be handed down from generation to generation.
I visited a few minutes with John Crockford on Sunday and took him a book that had impressed me, called "Ninety Minutes in Heaven." Virginia Murphree also visited with him one day and took him some fruit. He was able to get out a little this past week.
