IUKA - Careless driving on the Fourth of July cost a Tishomingo County man his independence.
Tishomingo County deputy sheriffs stopped a car on County Road 961 for careless driving. Deputies became suspicious of the passenger’s actions and the driver appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic.
Deputies learned that the driver was under the influence of marijuana. Deputies found a misdemeanor amount of the drug on his person. A search of the passenger uncovered a felony amount of methamphetamine. Both the driver and the occupant were then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
Ronald Dale Gann, 47, of 22 Railroad Ave., Tishomingo, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $3,000. Gann is also currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections and MDOC has been notified of his recent arrest.
