Tupelo police have arrested two juveniles in connection with break-ins at two Tupelo auto dealerships.
A Tupelo boy and girl, both 16, have been charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of auto theft in connection with a Wednesday break-in at Alan's Auto on South Gloster Street and a Thursday break-in at Car Corral on Ida Street, said Capt. Harold Chaffin, Tupelo police chief of detectives.
Both juveniles are being held at the Lee County Juvenile Detention Facility and will be tried in Lee County Youth Court, Chaffin said.
Police have recovered a 1990 Dodge Dynasty, a 1988 Mazda, keys, watches and a power meter reported stolen in the break-ins, Chaffin said.
More arrests in the case are possible, Chaffin said.
