STARKVILLE - Two Starkville men were arrested and jailed last week in separate felony domestic violence charges.
Starkville police arrested Elmer Norwood, 36, on June 19 on felony warrants for aggravated domestic violence and burglary of a residence. The incident happened June 15 at Brooksville Garden apartments, located at 305 Everglade Ave.
Norwood is accused of breaking into a residence and physically assaulting the victim. The victim was taken to the Oktibbeha County Hospital and later transferred to another medical facility for further treatment.
On Friday, June 21, police arrested 39-year-old Jocko Brooks for aggravated domestic violence. He is accused of choking the female victim at an apartment on Catherine Street.
