Two Tupelo residents turned themselves in to the Lee County Sheriff's Department after more than $20,000 worth of illegal drugs was discovered at their apartment.
Corey Crayton, 28, and Vincent Edwards, 23, both of 1101 Chapman Dr., turned themselves in Monday afternoon and were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell. They were released on $50,000 bonds.
On March 8, the Lee County Vice-Narcotics Task Force found a quarter-pound of cocaine worth $20,000 on area streets, a quarter-pound of marijuana worth about $650 on area streets, $1,412 in cash, digital scales and packaging materials at 1101 Chapman Dr., said Sheriff Harold Ray Presley.
Investigators believe Crayton and Edwards tried to obscure their identities because of evidence found in the house, Presley said.
