Geneva Petty

GOLDEN – Geneva Petty, 87, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Courtyard’s Nursing Home in Fulton. She was born February 27, 1930, to the late Oscar Lee Kent and the late Estelle Tallant Kent. She retired from Blue Bell after 50 years of service. She was a member of Open Door Worship Center. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading her Bible and just being around her family.

Services were held at 1:00 p.m., on Sunday April 30, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. John Griffus officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Trelvy (Linda) Petty of Golden and Ray (Linda) Petty of Vina, Ala.; granddaughters, Brenda (Phillip) Horne, Beth (Dudley) Hallmark, Stephanie Petty, Tonuia (Michael) Dill, Brandie (Joe Timmons) Petty and Tina (Wesley) Gray; several great- grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hershel Petty; brothers, Elmo, Lyle, Eugene, Clarence and Ezra Kent.

Betty Hawkins

MANTACHIE – Betty Gene Rogers Hawkins, 73, joined the presence of the Lord at 4:22 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, from the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Danny Thomas and Bro. Castor Buse officiating. Burial was in the Walton Cemetery.

Rev. James Price

FULTON – Rev. James Spencer Price, 84, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Sanctuary Hospice after a brief illness.

A celebration of life service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fulton United Methodist Church with Rev. Phillip Box, Rev. Bob Whitehead, and Dixie Russell officiating. Graveside services followed at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Quinnon Sides

FULTON – Quinnon Sides, 86, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at The Meadows in Fulton.

Services were held April 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Dennis Memory Garden.
