Edna Lou Voyles  Parker

Houston-Edna Lou Voyles Parker, 77, passed away at her home Friday, June 14, 2019. She was born in Calhoun County to the late Parker Luther Voyles and Stacey Virgie Mary Mitchell Voyles. She retired from Franklin Corporation. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Johnny Cherry and Bro. Daniel Heeringa officiating. Burial will be in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston. Memorial Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by her daughter Nena Mechille Parker; two sons, Stacey Parker (Melinda) and Chris Parker all of Houston; four grandchildren, Madison Smith (Dustin), Laura Brandon Parker (Hunter Chase), Wes Parker and Allyson Nichole Hayes (Phillip) and two great granddaughters, Parker Rhea Smith and Riley Kathryn Chase. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.W. Parker:; one sister, Anna Elizabeth Voyles ; three brothers, Otha Voyles, Olen Voyles and Jessie Voyles. Pallbearers will be Wes Parker, David Voyles, Charles Voyles, Billy Voyles, John Gravat, Scott Shempert, Devon Baker, Dalton Baker. Honorary Pallbearers will be William "Screwball" Griffin, Mike "Grease Monkey" Peel, Billy "Blue Knight" Blansett and Stanley "Sugar Man" Hamby. Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston.
