Willard Mauney Shackelford, 94, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS. She was born October 5, 1924, to Homer and Rue Mauney in Tippah County - Mississippi. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and granny. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Chapman Church of Christ with Minister Mark Lindley officiating. Burial will follow in Chapman Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday Morning from 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM at McBride Funeral Home. Mrs. Willard is survived by one daughter: Rita Rutherford of Falkner, MS; three sons: Wayne Shackelford (Lisa) of Newnan, GA, Laney Shackelford (Sue) of Oxford, MS, Kerry Shackelford (Karen) of Quinton, VA; three sisters: Mildred Shackelford of Ripley, MS, Christine Grisham of Jackson, TN, Dixie White of New Albany, MS; ten grandchildren: Beth Dulin (Michael) of Millington, TN, Lanice Gaillard (Karl) of Falkner, MS, Keith Shackelford of Oxford, MS, Stephanie Martin of Chapel Hill, NC, Nathan Shackelford (Christina) of Oxford, MS, Tiffany and Jason Shackelford of Memphis, TN, Kathryn Van Bourgondien (Scott) of Quinton, VA, Will Shackelford (Rachel) of Norfolk, VA, Rosemary Shackelford of Richmon, VA; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Horace Shackelford; one grandson: Glenn Shackelford; three sisters: Billie Mauney, Faye Montgomery, Genice Collett; one brother: Lance Mauney; one son-in-law: Terry Rutherford and one grandson-in-law: Greg Martin. Pallbearers: Keith Shackelford, Nathan Shackelford, Will Shackelford, Jake McElwain, Karl Gaillard, Nathan Gaillard.
