The special election to decide who would replace Jay Hughes on the Oxford Board of Alderman has been decided.<>

Rick Addy has defeated Jordan Bankhead and he will take that spot on the board, according to voting results released at the Oxford Conference Center Tuesday night. Addy had 355 votes to Bankhead's 156.

Both candidates wanted to "gather their thoughts" regarding the election and would send out information about the election Wednesday.
